Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: At what age would you suggest registering my child?
A: Many of our families register in their final term of pregnancy. Recent articles suggest small children; then girls 12-19 years of age are in a higher risk category.
Q: Is registering online for Child Save Service the only option?
A: Child Save Canada provides several options. You may register online by clicking here (the process is easy – just use your credit card OR you can use PayPal and pay with your credit/debit card). You may register in person at one of our authorized registration booths which may be visiting a local mall, school or hospitals. Child Save Canada will be at well over 100 special events across the country this year alone. It is not necessary for your child to be there in person. Furthermore, our toll-free number 1-800-409-4600 allows parents the convenience of registering by phone in only a few minutes. You will be asked to submit recent photographs and provide all the appropriate financial information at such time.

Q: If I want to update only my child’s photo as my child is older now, what do we need to do?
A: Easy, just fill out “Update Your Child’s Photo” form here.
Q: Does that mean that if I have another baby, I can add this baby to my existing profile free of charge?
A: Correct! We do not charge for additional family members. Our yearly price is per family, and that means all children in your household.
Q: How often does one go about updating our children’s profile?
A: Parents with infants are asked to provide new photos every 5-6 months. You can update your child’s photo yearly (we will email you a reminder).
Q: Where do you recommend we place the safety stickers?
A: We ask all of our families to place these stickers on the outside of articles such as strollers, car seats backpacks etc. It is also suggested that a sticker should be placed on the home telephone, cell phones and one to each babysitter and grandparent. These codes labels provide for immediate identification in the event of an unforeseen emergency. Once again we hope no one should ever need to use them. At the very least they allow us to recover articles that may have simply been forgotten or lost
